I admit, I'm a bit of a coffee snob and will not just drink any coffee.
When I saw the dark roast, I thought I'd give it a try. I thought what can I lose by supporting a wonderful artist and possibly a good coffee. Well let me tell you! The coffee is not just good, it's great!! No bitter after taste. A wonderful aroma, a smooth dark roast. It's yum!

I bought the Awake Signature Coffee Brazilian Dark Roast in whole bean and was really impressed. First off, the smell when you open the resealable zip lock bag is amazing and intoxicating. Bold and robust. I brewed mine using a french press with a course grind and steeped for 5 minutes to extract the full flavor. When I tasted the coffee, I was expecting a somewhat bitter aftertaste but that was not what happened. The initial taste was full flavored with brazilian nutty and chocolaty notes. The aftertaste was actually pretty smooth compared to other dark roasted 100% Arabica beans. I can't believe how quickly I'm going through this bag and I'm not even a daily coffee drinker. I will be ordering again soon. Thanks for a great product! Blessing on all of you!
